| Peter Dohrmann studied medicine at Monash University, graduating in 1977. He trained in neurosurgery at the Alfred Hospital.
In 1984 he obtained a neurosurgery fellowship position at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas, specialising in trauma and cerebrovascular neurosurgery. In 1985 he worked in London as a Neurosurgery Registrar at the London Hospital and at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street.
Since 1986, Dr Dohrmann has been in private practice in neurosurgery at Melbourne's Epworth Hospital. He has also held senior appointments at a number of Melbourne teaching hospitals, including the Alfred and Royal Melbourne Hospitals.
Dr Dohrmann was appointed Executive Medical Director of Epworth HealthCare in 2002.
Away from neurosurgery, Dr Dohrmann is closely involved with the Melbourne Football Club and is a Board member of Open Family Australia. He is a member of the Medical Practitioners Board of Victoria. |
