We're still catching up with those people already waiting for appointments promised.  It means we will not be able to offer appointments to new patients for another few weeks (hopefully later in October).   Once we have caught up with ourselves, we will again "reopen the books" for appointments, using our online appointment system which is explained just below.  Dr Dohrmann is happy to recommend alternatives to your referring doctor during this period.

Recommendation to remove non fusion stabilisation devices from July 2008 Prostheses List

We have been advised that non fusion stabilisation devices, including the Wallis implant, will be removed from the Prostheses List from July 1, 2008 on the advice of of the Spinal Prostheses Clinical Advisory Group.  This means that the costs of the Wallis implant will not be covered by private insurance from July.  You can find out more about this Commonwealth government decision at http://www.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/health-privatehealth-prostheseslist.htm
